Dolls have fascinated hundreds of generations of human beings. Although the statement may be controversial, it could also be maintained that religious statuary are a form of doll. Certainly this has been an insult hurled at them on occasion. Yet could the figure of the doll offer us a glimpse of a deeper knowing?

Ironically, this question may bring negative forms of the doll to mind. Yet doesn't this underline an opposite polarity? One with vast potential to connect us with a positive voice--one of healing and of uniquely personal wisdom?
